The Brief

From bare shell to a fully furnished home

The client wanted their Palm Jumeirah townhouse taken from a bare, unfinished interior to a warm, fully furnished home — designed, renovated and dressed as one connected scheme rather than assembled room by room. The brief covered interior design, renovation, furnishing, and simple landscaping to the terrace.

Feature walls were built out in wood panelling across the living room and dressing area, new joinery installed throughout, and the kitchen, dining and bathroom spaces renovated and finished. Every room was then furnished and styled as part of the same scheme — from furniture and rugs to lighting and soft furnishings.

The Approach

Because design, renovation and furnishing were being delivered together rather than as separate, disconnected stages, Crownstone sequenced the work so that joinery and wall finishes were complete before furniture and styling went in — keeping the material palette of warm wood tones, cane and stone consistent across every open-plan space.

Scope of Works

Design, renovation and furnishing, together

Six interlocking scopes, sequenced and delivered by a single Crownstone team so every room reads as one considered scheme.

Interior Design & Styling

A single design scheme carried across every room — material palette, furniture selection and styling planned together rather than room by room.

Bespoke Joinery & Panelling

Wood-panelled feature walls built out in the living room and dressing area, with mirrored and shelved joinery integrated into the design.

Kitchen & Dining Renovation

Open-plan kitchen and dining space renovated with new cabinetry and worktops, finished and furnished as the heart of the ground floor.

Bathroom Renovation

Double vessel-sink vanity, updated fixtures and full retiling — renovated to match the same warm, contemporary palette as the rest of the home.

Furnishing & Soft Furnishings

Every room furnished as part of the same scheme — furniture, rugs, lighting and decor selected and installed by the Crownstone team.

Simple Landscaping

A straightforward landscaping scheme to finish the terrace, complementing the interior scheme rather than a full garden redesign.

The Outcome

One connected scheme, room by room.

The finished townhouse reads as one considered scheme rather than a series of separate rooms — new joinery, a consistent material palette of warm wood tones, cane and stone, and furnishing chosen to match throughout. The terrace was finished with a simple, low-maintenance landscaping scheme to complete the outdoor space.

From the open-plan kitchen and dining area through to the bedrooms and bathroom, every space was designed, renovated and furnished as part of the same brief — delivered by a single Crownstone team.
